She's aware of a struggle within herself, an inexplicable pull toward danger, but Anna, the ultimate good girl, has always had the advantage of her angel side to balance the darkness within. It isn't until she turns sixteen and meets the alluring Kaidan Rowe that she discovers her terrifying heritage and her willpower is put to the test. He's the boy your daddy warned you about. If only someone had warned Anna.

Review:
Sinfully
addictive—that
would be the right words that could describe this book. When I first read the
summary of this, I was not really that convinced by it. I thought to myself
that maybe it was just like those Angel/Demon books that I’ve read before but
boy was I so wrong! This set a new and different level of awesomeness from the
Nephilim books that I’ve read in the past. It has originality, the pacing was
good, the characters were well-written and the love story was so epic that it
makes me crave for more.
To start off, let’s talk about the
concept of this book. You might think that Sweet Evil will be your typical
Nephilim book but no, Ms. Wendy added certain flares that distinguish this book
from those books about Angels and Demon. The plot was really engaging and quite
refreshing in some ways. Also, the pacing was smooth and it’s just the right
pace for this book. It will definitely pull you in a whirlwind of emotion.
What I also like about this book are the
characters on it. Wendy Higgins did a great job in creating characters that you
can connect on or relate to. The protagonist on this book, Anna, is a sweet,
caring and naive girl. In other words, she’s a goody-two shoes. And it’s quite
understandable considering who her mother is. Oh, let’s not forget Kaidan… Kaidan is a jerky, hot drummer
boy who has a British accent. *cue swooning*That guy is so hot that it will make
you drool and wet in your pants. He’s officially now on my list of fictional
boyfriends. Moreover, the minor characters are also well-developed. I don’t
only love the major characters in this book, I also adore the minor ones. Jay,
the best friend of Anna, is one of my favorite. He’s the perfect best friend
that one can have. I really thought that Jay will be the love triangle of
Kaidan since that’s what normally happens in some books but again, normal is
not on the vocabulary of the author. I’m also fond of the father of
Anna—Belial. He’s really not what I expected!
Taking everything into account, Sweet
Evil deserves a sparkling five stars for its awesomeness. Once you start
reading, you couldn’t put it down. It will unquestionably take you on the very
edge of your seat and will left you wanting for more. April 30 (release date of
Sweet Peril), please come soon!
